Enfield RCMP are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred earlier this morning.
At 6:07 a.m., RCMP, Emergency Health Services and Elmsdale Fire services and Nova Scotia Power responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway #2, approximately 100 meters north of Highway 214.
Preliminary investigation determined the lone occupant of a tractor trailer (no trailer) was traveling south when he hit a power pole.
The 56-year-old man from Carroll’s Corner was pronounced deceased at the scene. Highway #2 has reopened to traffic and the investigation is continuing. The name of the driver is not being released at this time.
