Special weather statement in effect for:
- Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
A low pressure system will approach the Maritimes on Saturday from
New England. This low will track over Nova Scotia on Sunday and then
slowly off to the east on Monday.
Rain and snow can be expected over Nova Scotia Saturday night and Sunday. Over portions of western and northern mainland Nova Scotia, a period of heavy wet snow is possible. At this point it is too early to predict exactly where the heavy wet snow may occur, or how much accumulation there will be. However, areas with higher terrain and away from the coast are generally more likely to receive snowfall.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ec.weatheraspc.ec@canada.ca or tweet reports to #NSStorm.
