Fatal collision in Hants County

 At 2:08 p.m. today, Windsor District RCMP responded to a fatal collision on Hwy. 14 in Mill Section, approximately 15 kms from Windsor.

Initial investigation indicates the collision between an automobile and a pickup truck was head-on.

An adult female driver of the automobile was deceased at the scene and the passenger, an adult male, required transport to hospital via LifeFlight for life-threatening injuries.  The lone occupant of the pickup truck an adult male was transported by EHS to the nearby hospital with undetermined injuries.

The RCMP was assisted by EHS, Fire, and personnel from the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal.

Highway 14 is closed between Windsor and Vaughan and is expected to remain so into the night. The RCMP Collision Analyst is on scene to assist with the investigation.
