Halifax Regional Police is releasing the name of the driver who was killed in a traffic collision this morning in Halifax.
Police were called to 100 Horseshoe Lake Drive at 7:13 a.m. after a single motor vehicle collided with a power pole. The lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Jeffrey Donald Hanson of East Uniacke. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.
The investigation is this collision is continuing and officers believe that speed was a factor. Police asks anyone who might have been in the area at the time of the collision to call 490-5020.
