At 5:44 a.m. this morning, members of Digby County RCMP responded to a fatal house fire on Montague Row in Digby. Upon arrival at the scene a 65-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, both from Digby, were found deceased inside the home. No one else was inside the residence at the time.

The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious at this time, however the investigation is ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the family of the victims at this difficult time.
