RCMP release:
Pictou County District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Hwy. 4 in Broadway, Pictou County.
On November 4, 2023, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Pictou County District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 4 in Broadway. RCMP officers learned that a motorcycle had been travelling on Hwy. 4 when the motorcycle left the road and collided with a power pole.
The driver, and sole rider, of the motorcycle, a 66-year-old Merigomish man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Hwy. 4 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
