HRP release:

Police are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred in Bedford this evening.

At approximately 7:50 p.m,, officers responded to a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Brownstone Way in Bedford. A 3-year-old boy was crossing the street when he was stuck by a vehicle. 

The boy was transported to hospital by EHS where he died of his injuries. 

Halifax Regional Police extend heartfelt condolences to the boy’s family. Police also extend thanks to the witnesses and bystanders who remained at the scene through the evening.

The investigation by the Collision Reconstruction Unit is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
