Jack Black is a relatively new company that has been making waves in recent years thanks to their premium body and skin care products for men. Although Jack Black shares the name with the famous comedian, their products are no laughing matter (although the price may leave you smiling). The products we had a chance to test included three skin care products: the Protein Booster Eye Rescue ($46), Double Duty Face Moisturizer with SPF ($33), and the Power Peel Multi-Acid Resurfacing Pads ($42).
The first product our tester tried out was the Protein Booster Eye Rescue. This product contains the most powerful peptide on the market to aggressively target crow’s feet and expression lines. Jack Black claims that this formula is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of deep surface wrinkles by up to 28%. After using this product for two weeks, we did notice some subtle changes around the eye and it was most effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, this product does not target dark circles so if that’s your issue you might want to check out Jack Black’s Eye Balm Age Minimizing Gel ($46).
The second product our tester tried out (and his most favorite of the line), was the Double Duty Face Moisturizer with SPF. Although eye-creams or cleansers might still be foreign territory for some men, most men these days can still appreciate the need for a moisturizer. The Jack Black moisturizer we tested was great because it not only moisturized but also provided protection from the sun with its SPF 20 formula. The thing our tester loved most about this? It goes on light, dries quickly and provides moisturizing and protection without the typical oily residue or shine from an SPF. Highly recommended!
The final product our tester tried out was the Power Peel Multi-Acid Resurfacing Pads. This peel contains both alpha and beta hydroxy acids which help exfoliate your skin on the top and lower skin levels to remove dirt/grime and promote skin cell turnover for bright and firm skin. Our tester also found that this product helped encourage blemishes to come to the surface and ultimately be cleansed away over a day or two – making it a perfect skin fix before a big event.
Overall, we would highly recommend checking out the Jack Black line of vegan friendly skin care and body care products. If you want to test the waters, start with the Double Duty Face Moisturizer with SPF and we’re confident you’ll find yourself a convert.
