Favourite Friday – December 3 Edition: More Cheese than Usual

Ally: My son had his little daycare Christmas party yesterday and it melted me into a thousand pieces of cute. He wore green cords and a red Ralph Lauren polo onesie. Yes, a Ralph Lauren onesie. I kid you not. Frenchy’s, my dears. He feels good wearing high-end brands, so why should I deny him that happiness?

Speaking of Frenchy’s, my favourite idea this week (which I talked about on twitter), was to get a group of peeps together for a road trip to a few Frenchy’s. It seems like we have some takers. I’m thinking we could look into renting a van (or even a Party Bus if we had enough people! Stripper Pole fun! No?!), and map out a trail. We could do it in one day, or make a night of it staying at a motel. Yes, I wrote “motel”. Blogging is just for the classy.

Yes! That could be us!

So, I think it is worth further discussion. I’d love to book it over the winter months, when there is often nada to do, but I worry about the roads. We’re all about safety up in here. So, it could possibly be a spring trip. Discuss away in our comment section.

Last night I was watching Etalk (as I’ve been known to do) and they did a feature on a family-owned clothing line out of Vancouver called Granted. I am now in love and I think L-A will be too. So, Favourite Friday item #2:

Perfect for snuggling up with a Baileys! However, and there is a however, you would obviously wear this sweater in late fall/early winter. So how are you wearing heels with no stockings? (I hate the word “stockings” by the way, up there with “panties” and “nighties”) Is this acceptable in a professional environment? To wear heels with bare feet in the middle of winter? It’s one of the reasons I hate winter. The dreaded KNEE HIGH TROUSER HOSE.

Seriously? The above is Lea Michele-level-offensive.

Back to Granted. They have clothes for dudes as well!

There are clothes for the gents as well.

Hot.

Lastly, it wouldn’t be Friday without my ass-taste in music. Here’s a seasonal treat for you:

EVERY TIME. It gets me EVERY TIME.

P.S. 2010 Mariah wouldn’t be caught dead in that snowsuit.

L-A: Now that I’ve had a power nap, I feel like I’m ready to write something here. And by power nap, I mean I put my head on my desk and fell asleep. It is that kind of week, folks. I was up until 2 a.m. with those damn sock monkeys and it’s going to be two more late nights thanks to sock monkeys and a paper on media theorists. You want my life, don’t you?

Anyway, that Granted business? Um, hello?!? Love. It. Love it so so much.  If i had a spare $360, I would totally buy that and I would totally wear it with that outift.

So, one of our favourite things this week? It’s Ben, absolutely killing it as a model for the Win What You Wish For campaign:

How can that not be a favourite? The only one out-modelling him this week is my other favourite:

I picked a winner! Finally!

Go Team Ann! I was rooting for her at the end, so I was stoked to see her and her awkward frankenwalk win. I sort of saw it coming when the entire episode was Chelsea talking about how she was the total package and deserved to win. I’m familiar enough with ANTM editing by now to know that usually means you are getting kicked off.

Final favourite of the week is this sweater, by iclothing, that I’m picking up at Love, Me tomorrow:

Mine is in an awesome burgundy. I love it so much. If you’d like to see how awesome it is, stop by the Halifax Crafters show on Saturday or Sunday. I’ll be there. If you say hi, I’ll sign a copy of our ad with Santa. Or I’ll sign a copy of Ben’s photo with Santa. Whatever.*

*actually, I will probably act kind of awkward and shy and you’ll be like, “is that the same person who writes for FPQT? Seriously? But I do love her sweater”
