I’m Obsessed with Solange Knowles

Ever since Losing You dropped I find myself googling news on Solange. I love me some Beyoncé, but S. Knowles is the most interesting Knowles. She out-dresses everyone, everyday. In fact, she just made Vogue’s Best Dressed list again.

I lost a good 45 minutes this morning reviewing her Vogue UK “What I’m Wearing” blog posts. I suggest you do too.

I don’t consider this “reading” as much as I consider it “infiltrating your brain with filth”. Such joy comes with this! Plum Sykes, as you may know, is a writer for Vogue. She’s considered London elite, and I believe she pals around with Gwyneth and co.

I found this hilarious Fametracker article lambasting Sykes’ interview with Paltrow for Vogue back in 2002. They are correct in their assessment that the use of “naughtily nice” is shameful.

A bit of a tangent there, but Sykes puts her “naughtily nice” adjectives to proper use in this deliciously awful piece of chick-lit (I hate the term too, but have yet to come up with a better one).

I read the reviews on the back of the book and was shocked (SHOCKED!) to find that Anna Wintour had provided the novel with glowing praise.

 Perfectly pitched. Playful, funny, satirical, and sweet. I laughed out loud many times

Channing Tatum as Sexiest Man Alive

I nearly wrote this awards program off as a fraud when they handed out the trophy to Bradley Cooper last year. Please, I get more turned on by Piers Morgan. I feel as though all is right in the world of unnecessary celebrity publications now that People has named Channing Tatum as Sexiest Man Alive.

Why has music sucked so much lately? I go on iTunes all the time only to find smart, well-written music (don’t throw out The Ke$ha, she does not exist in my world). Where is Miley Cyrus when you need her? I’m going to have to throw back for this one, folks.
