Feels Like Home To Me

Today, Mom & I took a trip down to Wolfville.  Even though the weather was gray and drizzly, it still felt warm and cozy, just like home.  One day I will live there my friends, one day.

Our first stop was Noggins Corner Farm Market. The colors of Autumn were out in full force!

I picked up a small decorative pumpkin and buttercup & spaghetti squash.

There was a wide variety of apples but I came for one kind and one kind only, honey crisp!! Whoohoo!

I also snagged a huge bag of brussel sprouts  & fingerling potatoes.  I see roasted veggies in my near future. 😉

We headed over to the Blomidon Inn for lunch.

The lighting was very dim, so unfortunately my pictures don’t do justice to just how beautiful this old Inn really is.

Started off with the Inn’s famous brown bread & butter.  So good, wish I could make it like this at home.

I had a hard time deciding on what to have, it was a toss up between the Lobster Roll or Eggs Benedict.

I went for the eggs benny.   It was great, the perfect amount of hollandise sauce!

Side salad – mixed greens, peppers & tomato.  Balsamic dressing.

Stopped in at the Just Us Coffee Roastery on the way back. I needed to re-stock my coffee and re-charge. 😉

Iced Americano with a shot of vanilla.

On the way home we made a slight detour so that I could have some fun with MariLynn.  There were several small fruit & veggies stands along the side of the road.

With a jar next to them for payment.  Seriously, how awesome is that?   I stuck in my loonie and came home with an extra buttercup squash. 🙂

Was such a fun day!  Mom was a great sport and drove me all through the country side so that I could snap some pics.  I got so many awesome shots – first set is up here.

Hope your day was as great as mine! Night bloggies.
