Femfest 2009: Celebrating Local Female Talent

FemFest is a celebration of local women presented by the Saint Mary’s Women’s Centre. The Festival takes place from the 27th to the 29th of November.  We talk to the folks involved, and take in a couple of performances. (See below the video for tonight’s schedule)

 

 

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29th @ The North Street Church, 5657 North Street

FemFest CRAFT FAIR!

10 a.m. – 6 p.m. – FREE!
Featuring goods made by your local Haligonians (and Nova Scotians)!

The Craft Fair will now include a Female Showcase featuring local women signing througout the day:
Rose Folks
Breagh Potter
Kate Surette
Nadia von Hahn
Dana Carly Andrews
Christine Campbell

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29th, 7 p.m. @ Local Jo Cafe and Market, 2959 Oxford Street

FemFest will conclude with a Children’s Story Night at Local Jo, bring your PJ’s and your favorite book, milk and cookies will be provided! Children of all ages, big and small, welcome!

TICKETS CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE SMU WOMEN’S CENTRE AND AT THE COMPANY HOUSE.
