The annual Christmas Festival of Trees and Crafts in Middle Musquodoboit starts Friday, Dec. 2, and continues through the weekend.
Held at the Natural Resources Education Centre and the Musquodoboit Valley Education Centre complex, 12046 Highway 224, Middle Musquodoboit, the Festival of Trees starts Friday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. On Saturday, Dec. 3, the festival and craft show both run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“This family-friendly festival is a place to enjoy a room full of beautiful, fully decorated Nova Scotia balsam fir trees, purchase homemade crafts, and meet friends as you begin your holiday preparations,” said Natural Resources Minister Lloyd Hines.

The opening ceremony, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, will feature greetings by special guests, the tree lighting, and local musical entertainment.
More than 30 Nova Scotian balsam fir trees, donated by the province and the Lunenburg County Christmas Tree Producers’ Association, will be decorated by community groups and businesses.

Admission to the Festival of Trees is free. Admission to the craft show is $2. More than 100 crafters will display their wares.
