Please note that Facility Rental Contracts are required for any and all use of HRM Outdoor Facilities. Please be aware that although maintenance is being carried out on our ball diamonds, there may still be some wet or soft areas existing. Please ensure you have Officials monitor safety conditions for both players and turf. You are responsible for any and all damages as outlined in your Facility Rental Contract.
Please note that Municipal Crews are carrying out field maintenance work as weather and turf conditions allow in order to prepare fields for play. In some cases, heavy equipment has not been able to access fields as turf is too wet and too soft. This is affecting grass cutting, grooming of fields and light repairs.
Using ball diamonds and sport fields under the current field conditions can cause damage to turf which can delay season start up.
All requests for Sport Field use should be directed to our All Weather Sport Fields (490-7100). This would include both the Mainland Common and Burnside facilities.
For clients in the Bedford/Sackville area, inquiries for bookings for the Weir facility may be directed to 865-9449.
Any damages caused to any and all turf as a result of unscheduled or unauthorized use could impact the ability to open fields for this season. Any use of HRM facilities without the appropriate authorization or when fields are closed will result in fines and possible loss of future scheduling privileges.
