Fight at Dr. Sharps Road House leads to arrests

At approximately 2 p.m., Police responded to Dr. Sharps Road House (located at 961 Bedford Highway) to a complaint of a fight taking place.

Upon arrival on scene it was learned that two males in their twenties were fighting inside the bar and it spilled outside onto the parking lot. The two males suffered stab wounds inflicted by each other; a knife and a hammer were seized at the scene.

One male party fled the area in a vehicle. A witness was able to give police a description with the license plate of the vehicle. Patrol Officers stopped that vehicle on Bayer’s Road. The male driver was arrested without incident. Both combatants were taken to the QEII for non-life threatening injuries.

The two males are not being cooperative with the police investigation. The investigation is ongoing and charges against these two individuals are pending.
