Fire engulfs vehicle in fatal highway crash

RCMP release:

On September 23, at 4:15 a.m., Digby RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 101 in Plympton.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a Subaru Legacy upside down in the ditch; it was fully engulfed in flames.

The driver and sole occupant of the car was located inside the vehicle and pronounced deceased.

Hwy. 101, between French Road and North Range Cross Road, was closed for several hours while a collision analyst processed the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
