A late Saturday afternoon fire on Nestor Crescent in Cole Harbour was knocked down by a multi-department response.

The fire destroyed a shed and extensive damage was seen on the home closest. A second nearby home also suffered some noticeable damage as siding was seen melted on the side closest to the fire.

The fire is being investigated by Halifax Fire and the area has been taped off for safety.
