Fire Investigation – 98 Highfield

In the afternoon of June 6th, a heavy fire response was dispatched to 98 Highfield in Dartmouth as thick smoke was seen coming from a unit inside the large residential building.

Police closed a section of the road as fire crews ran water lines into a unit.  EHS treated the tenant of the unit.  She was taken to hospital.

Fire Investigations have determined the ignition source to be smoking material.  The origin was the living room and is classed as accidental.
