Fire Investigation Results – Regent Dr

On May 1st, fire crews were called to a massive house fire in a duplex at 26 Regent Dr. in Dartmouth.

Thick, black smoke could be seen from Halifax as police closed the road and EHS were on stand-by as fire crews tackled the flames.

One unit was totally gutted by the fire.  The adjoining unit suffered some damage while a home on the other side suffered extensive external damage.  A shed and patio were destroyed.

No injuries or fatalities were reported.

The ignition source for this fire is unknown. Fire investigators have also determined the area of origin was a wooden deck and the cause of this fire is classified as undetermined.
