Firearm Used In Break & Enter

At 10:12 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to the 0-100 block of Forbes Street for a break and enter into an apartment. 
The victim informed Police that two males broke into the apartment, one armed with a hand gun and confronted the victim and a male in the apartment. The suspects chased the male out of the apartment where at least two shots were fired. The suspects then fled the scene. No one was injuries during the incident.
At about 12:50 am Patrol members observed a vehicle that was believed to be associated to one of the suspects in the break and enter. The Officers attempted to check the vehicle after it went behind an apartment building in the 0-100 block of Windmill Road in Dartmouth. The lone occupant fled the scene on foot, a K9 unit attended and tracked the suspect but he was not located. The investigation is continuing. Police believe this is not a random act as all the parties involved in this incident are known to one another.
