Firefighter Graduation Ceremony

Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency (HRFE) wishes to invite the media to tomorrow night’s winter graduation of its newest volunteer recruits. Twenty-four firefighter recruits have been hard at work training over the past several months, and are now ready to formally receive their black helmets. This class consists of firefighters from all walks of life who live and work in communities across the municipality. Tomorrow night they will be formally sworn into active service as front line volunteer firefighters from Middle Musquodoboit to Harrietsfield-Sambro. They have already been on the job protecting their communities since last month.
