Following is a provincial fire update for Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m.

— there have been no significant changes to the fires since yesterday afternoon’s update and all four remain 100 per cent contained
— for the next few days, the section of Trunk 8 near Maitland Bridge, Annapolis Co., that has been closed since last week will open at 8 p.m. and close again at 8 a.m.
— travel restrictions remain in effect across mainland Nova Scotia and people are asked to continue to avoid any activity that could potentially cause more fires. As announced yesterday, Aug. 15, travel restrictions have been lifted for Cape Breton
— the latest information on burning restrictions can be found at http://www.novascotia.ca/burnsafe
