First Concrete Pour Scheduled for Oval Site

(November 1, 2011) – The first of four concrete pours at the permanent
Oval will take place on Wednesday, November 2, 2011.
Halifax Regional
Municipality (HRM) wishes to advise residents around the Halifax North
Common that due to this work, trucks will be hauling concrete to the
site continuously for a period of approximately 16 hours. The work will
begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday and could run into the early morning hours
of Thursday, November 3rd.
Due to the nature of laying concrete it is essential that each
individual segment be poured continuously.  The construction of the oval
will require three additional concrete pours with similar time
requirements during the month of November.
HRM apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
