First Locally Produced Cannabis Hits Store Shelves

The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) is pleased to announce the first
locally produced recreational cannabis is now available online and in select NSLC stores.

The brand is called ‘SKOSHA’ and is produced by Breathing Green Solutions in Wentworth, Nova Scotia.

“We are very pleased to be able to offer our customers a local product option,” said Dave DiPersio, Senior Vice President and Chief Services Officer. “The NSLC team designed the listing process to be reactive to customer demand and to be able to accommodate local producers who are approved to
come to market.”

SKOSHA will be available for purchase online and at NSLC stores in Amherst, New Glasgow, Truro and at the NSLC Cannabis store on Clyde Street in Halifax. Initially, the NSLC received a shipment of SKOSHA
Nor’Easter in a 3.5-gram size. Nor’Easter is a sativa-dominant hybrid THC strain. “We hope to make additional SKOSHA products available soon,” Mr. DiPersio said.
“Nova Scotians love local and now they’ll be able to enjoy local handcrafted cannabis, too,” said Joe Sanford, Operations Manager and Co-Founder at Breathing Green Solutions. “SKOSHA was five years in the making, starting with hand selected genetics to ensure optimal terpene development for the most complete strain profiles possible.”
About SKOSHA SKOSHA—a brand from Breathing Green Solutions, Nova Scotia’s first licenced cannabis producer—is
based in the clean, cool forests of the Wentworth Valley. For the first time, recreational consumers in Nova Scotia will be able to experience the difference that handcrafted, locally-grown cannabis products
can make.
