First responders kept busy overnight, Halifax, N.S.

Heavy winds and rain kept RCMP, Local Fire Departments, Nova Scotia Power and Transportation and Infrastructure and Renewal busy overnight in many counties around the province.

The RCMP Operational Communication Centre in Truro received in excess of 40 calls for service for fallen trees on highways, down power lines and power poles on fire. Despite the high number of calls, there were no reported injuries.
