As you can see Scott has a pretty incredible before and after going on there, but even though pictures are worth a thousand words, there’s a backstory that’s worth a million.

Not only is Scott a weight loss success story, he’s a maintenance success story, is becoming a personal trainer and he just happens to be a graphic designer who can build you a fancy webpage too. Just check out his company, Untitled Design to see what I mean.

On Tuesday, during Fitblog chat, I noticed that Mr. Inner Skinny here was rocking a Movember moustache. I decided to change up my post a bit to highlight the awesome thing that Scott is doing.movember_reasonably_small

Scott has posted a video about what Movember is all about. It’ll tell you why he’s growing the moustache to end all moustaches and how you can help him blow the roof off his fundraising goals this years to raise awareness for prostate cancer.

Last year Scott raised $800, this year, let’s help him raise some more! Also,  if you can link him up on facebook, tweet about it and get the word to the masses that would be appreciated.

Come on people, he’s defiling his face to raise money for this! That’s totally worth a couple bucks.

Former athlete turned fat man and now former fat man turned health enthusiast. Helping you find your inner healthy self.

The reason I started Your Inner Skinny was because during my own weight loss, I did a lot of reading and research online about how to and the best way to lose weight (I’m a web developer and graphic designer, online is my “safe place”).  I wasn’t happy with most of what I read because a lot of the research I did from professionals said things like: “You need to eat perfectly all the time.”  “You can’t drink beer or eat pizza.”   “You have to train at the gym 5-6 days a week.”

At the time, I believed all of these things because I didn’t know any better.  I’m not saying these things aren’t true to an extent because you can’t drink beer and pizza all the time and be healthy, it’s how I got to my “before” picture, but if you’re just an average Joe or Jane looking to lose weight, feel good and be healthy, being “perfect” is nothing more than a state of mind.

YIS has evolved and changed over the past year.  It’s gone from a simple blog that my family and friends read when they were bored at work, to a hub where you can look for workouts, recipes, ask some experts questions you may have about health and fitness and of course, still read my rantings, ravings and get a few dirty little secrets about me in my blog.
