Five people face weapons charges after Dartmouth incident

Police have laid firearms charges against five people in relation to an incident in Dartmouth that occurred earlier this week.

On February 20 at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a weapons call in the area of Albro Lake Road. Police attended a residence and arrested five people and seized two firearms, two replica firearms and ammunition. 

Larson Munongo, 24, is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court today to face charges of:

  • Possession of a firearm without a license
  • Unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Possess weapon dangerous to public peace
  • Store firearm or restricted weapon contrary to regulations
  • Unsafe storage of firearm             
  • Fail to comply with conditions of a probation order (x2)
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to a court (x2)

Two men, ages 22 and 28, and two woman, ages 22 and 23, are also scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date to face charges of: 

  • Possession of a firearm without a license
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm
