Foiled Robbery Ends In Arson, Mac Store Robbed And A Downtown Drug Raid

Robbery, arson and a drug raid kept Halifax Police busy around HRM yesterday.

1106 Barrington St    The Mac Store   At 5:56 PM a lone male entered the store and produced a handgun. The suspect took 3 lap top computers and left the building on foot.
The suspect is described as : white male, 5′ 7", 200 lbs. Wearing black vest and jeans with face covered with a black  mask. The handgun is described a sliver in color.
No one was injured in this incident.

2500 block of  Gottingen St.    At 10:05 PM a drug warrant was executed at this location. The Emergency Response Team conducted the entry.
The two suspects, one adult male and one youth  were arrested and released with a future court date.

6324 Quinpool Rd.  MacDonald’s    At 2:51 AM suspects threatened to shoot and stab an employee.
The suspects then left on foot. At this time a fire was discovered burning in the washroom.
The suspects are described as : white males, one wearing shorts and a T-shirt and had brown hair.

Everyone is encouraged to wash hands frequently to prevent the spread of illness.
