A 39-year-old man is in custody after an incident yesterday.

Halifax Regional Police observed a 39 year old Dartmouth man whom they knew was on court conditions from previous Criminal Code charges . When the accused saw police he fled on foot. A foot pursuit began taking the officers and the accused party on a long pursuit through business's and residential yards on Faulkner Street and Wyse Road in Dartmouth. When the male was apprehended he had on his person a handgun, ammunition, and cocaine. The 39 year old male faces , weapons charges, breach of court conditions, and drug trafficking charges. He was held to attend Provincial Court in Dartmouth Thursday morning. No one was injured in the incident.
