Monday, June 20, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that on Tuesday, June 21, Ford Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Vimy Avenue and Evans Avenue. The street closure will be in effect from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is required to facilitate contractors, working on behalf of Halifax Water, to perform repairs on wastewater pipes in the area. Crews will accommodate local traffic, and pedestrian access will be maintained. Motorists may experience stop-and-go traffic on Ford Street outside of the street closure period, as crews set-up and dismantle the work area.
