Assault with a weapon

At 8 p.m., police responded to Alderney Landing after a report that two men and two women were attacking a male victim​ with skateboards. The suspects fled upon police arrival but were arrested on​ Kings Wharf Place after a short foot pursuit. The two women​ attempted to prevent​ officers from arresting the men but the suspects were ultimately all taken into custody.

The 19-year-old man and the 23-year-old man, both from​ Dartmouth,​ ​ are each​ facing a charge of Assault with a Weapon.

The 15-year-old female youth and the 22-year-old woman, both from Dartmouth, are each facing a charge of Assault with a Weapon and obstruction.

They will all appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date

The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries
