Four kids sent to hospital after school bus stops abruptly

Halifax Regional Police is investigating an incident involving a school bus that occurred this afternoon in Bedford.
 
At 2:32 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Bedford Highway and Larry Uteck Boulevard after a school bus that had just left École Beaubassin (Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial) had to abruptly stop to avoid a collision with another vehicle. There were approximately 40 students onboard the bus at the time of the incident and four were transported to the IWK Health Centre by EHS for treatment of minor injuries. The parents of the students involved in this incident are in the process of being contacted by school officials.
 
This incident remains under investigation at this time.
