Four people charged with drug offenses after traffic stop

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has charged four people with drug offences after a targeted traffic stop in North Kentville.

On February 15, 2024, the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Kings District RCMP, the Kentville Police Service General Investigation Section and the Kentville Police Service, completed a targeted traffic stop on Scott Dr. All four occupants of the vehicle were safely arrested. During a search, police then located and seized cocaine, scales, cash, ammunitions and cell phones.

Michael Quirk, 27, from Kentville, James Harris, 24, from New Minas, Jonathan Crouse, 35, from Wolfville and Anthony Keddy, 30, from Kentville, have all been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Additionally, Michael Quirk has been charged with Failing to Comply with a Release Order.

Jonathan Crouse and Anthony Keddy were later released on conditions. They are scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on April 9, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
