Four youths face multiple charges after an arrest yesterday morning.
At 8:57 a.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to an address in Woodside after receiving information about possible stolen property at that location. Upon arrival, officers located and seized laptops, fur coats and other items that were later identified as being stolen from the Truro area. Four youths were arrested at the scene without incident.
Investigators from the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section and Truro Police worked together to determine that the youths allegedly travelled to Truro in a stolen vehicle, broke into a residence and then stole another vehicle to return to metro. After they had returned, they stole a license plate off another vehicle.
Three 16-year-old male youths and a 15-year-old female youth, all from Dartmouth, face charges of break and enter and theft of motor vehicle from Truro and theft of motor vehicle and theft from Dartmouth. They are scheduled to appear in Youth Court at a later date.
