Fourth annual Bedford 5k to Beat Lung Cancer

Every time you achieve something small, you get closer to something big!

The Bedford 5k to Beat Lung Cancer is about demonstrating that we as a community support those fighting or who have fought lung cancer; they are not alone.

It’s about our community, together, setting small goals and meeting the challenge so that one day, the greater goal of a cure may be achieved. To date, we have raised more than $18,000 for lung cancer initiatives of Nova Scotia Division of the Canadian Cancer Society.

Join us at DeWolf Park on June 26th to show your determination to see this disease beaten. Individual, family and team registrations are available. And everyone gets a medal!

This year’s run starts at 9:00am. Kids first, then the adults.

The official poster for the 2011 Bedford 5k to Beat Lung Cancer is now up on the website – www.bedford5k.com. Show your support – print one out and put it up and work. Available in two sizes!

Milestone Markers for the Bedford 5k to Beat Lung Cancer are now on sale – a terrific way to show your support or remember a cancer fighter. Just $50 and you get to keep them. Details at www.bedford5k.com.

Also, sponsorship packages have just been announced for the Bedford 5k to Beat Lung Cancer. If you’re looking for an outstanding cause-marketing opportunity for your business, or you’re just passionate about fighting cancer, this is worth a look.
