FPQT Giveaway: Timeraiser Tickets

Don’t say we don’t ever give you anything for free (ok, we don’t, but there’s a first time for everything).

The Prize!

For our loyal readers, we have two tickets to the 2nd Halifax Timeraiser event on October 10th at Pier 21 from 7 to 10pm.

For those who aren’t familiar with the event’s background, attendees are invited to view the work of a selection of Atlantic artists, work which will be up for auction during the evening as part of a unique fundraising event. Attendees are able to bid on art in a silent auction – but instead of money they bid with volunteer hours.

“The Timeraiser concept is about bringing people together to connect with local art and support non-profit organizations in the process,” said Anil Patel, founder and executive director of Timeraiser. “Across Canada Timeraiser events have seen great turnouts. We’ve timeraised nearly 130,000 volunteer hours to date.”

More than 100 artists submitted up to five pieces each to be juried for the event. Adriana Afford, owner of Halifax-based Argyle Fine Art, led the jury that selected the pieces for auction. Artists whose work will be available this year include: Emma Fitzgerald, Angela Carlsen, Sarah Burwash, Chris Foster, Natasha Krzyzewski, Donald MacIntosh, Joshua McKenzie, Christopher Peet, Katie Philbins, Lynn Rodgers, Jane Rovers and Kate Stinson.

Images of the art to be showcased at the 2013 Halifax Timeraiser are available at http://www.timeraiser.ca/ halifax-gallery.html .
Some of the non-profit organizations that will benefit from the Timeraiser auction include Family SOS, Feed Nova Scotia, Happily Ever Active, Canadian Red Cross, Nova Scotia Talent Trust The Arthritis Society, Brigadoon, Adsum House and more.

For those who aren’t lucky enough to win our FREE Tickets, you can purchase tickets here (early bird price is $10).

 So how do I win?

I’m pretty tired and low on inspirational/creative ideas here. So we’re looking for the best/funniest tweets providing accolades for Ally and L-A’s Pretend Boyfriends (you only need to pick one!). GIFs are totally accepted, encouraged even. If you don’t know who they are, then it’s like you don’t know us AT ALL (seriously, just Google “pretend boyfriend fashionable people questionable things”)

The winner will be picked totally randomly (i.e. who makes Ally snort her boxed wine the farthest as a result of laughter) by end of week and announced via our Twitter account. Tweet your jokes to @fpqt

Editors Note: We have just learned that our dear friend Ben Boudreau will be hosting the evening’s event.
