The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents free, on-street parking spaces are now available along a closed section of Quinpool Road for the duration of the CN bridge rehabilitation project.
Starting today, approximately 75 on-street parking spaces with no time restrictions are available to residents free of charge, between the Armdale Rotary and Horseshoe Island Park. A reminder to residents that in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Act, vehicles are not permitted to park on-street for more than 24 hours.
Following resident feedback, this initiative provides access to a network of other transportation options to help those who live outside of the downtown core reach their destination.
A reminder for residents and visitors that local businesses remain open on Quinpool Road during the CN bridge rehabilitation project, and a pedestrian detour is available around the bridge.
