Free transit for veterans and military personnel on Remembrance Day

Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Transit is showing their appreciation and gratitude to those who serve our country by offering free transit to all veterans and military personnel, and accompanying family members, on Remembrance Day, Nov. 11.

Veterans or military personnel wishing to use the free transit service are simply asked to be in uniform or display their military identification upon boarding.

This offer extends to Halifax Transit bus and harbour ferry services, as well as registered Access-A-Bus users.

Halifax Transit will be operating on holiday service on Remembrance Day; please check individual bus and ferry routes for holiday schedules at www.halifax.ca/transit/Schedules/index.php.
