Freezing rain warning for 

Halifax Metro and Halifax County West continued

 

Periods of freezing rain will persist tonight.

 

This is a warning that an extended period of freezing rain is occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

 

A trough of low pressure is forecast to pass south of Nova Scotia tonight to lie east of the Maritimes by Tuesday morning. Periods of freezing rain mixed with ice pellets is forecast to change to rain this evening as temperatures climb slightly above the freezing mark.

 

Over Northern Nova Scotia including Cape Breton temperatures are expected to remain near freezing so a mixture of snow, freezing rain, ice pellets and rain is anticipated.
