Friday Favourites: the February 22nd edition

L-A: Welcome to the weekend friends! Let’s jump on in to the things I loved:

1.I bought a pun.

No, seriously, I did. My latest bracelet is this guy and it’s called the “timeless” cuff.

Timeless. Get it? Badumching. Punny!

(So, for the record, it’s Jewelmint and yes, I have talked about it a bit lately. They did send us stuff when they first launched, but now I honestly just love them for fun, affordable jewelry from time to time. I had a credit, they had a surprise gift and now I have an adorable bracelet).

2. J&R Grimsmo for being the best place to buy a girlfriend a gift

I needed a birthday present for a friend who is the kind of friend you want to get something really swell for.  I didn’t want to buy just anything. So I hit up J&R after work and while I later learned that a mini-terrarium necklace would have been a hit, this Erica Weiner number was the winner.

They’re just super lovely at that place and I adore shopping there. A you go Glen Coco to our local stores for ladies.

3. Mel’s solid life advice.

As I mentioned on Facebook, sometimes I think I want a bag I can’t afford. Most times I think it’s a stupid idea. I shared this dilemma and Mel gave me some real solid advice

She’s right. If I’m going to bounce my rent cheque for a purse, it should be on a Marc Jacobs purse. I mean, you all suffered through my woes of not buying the Marc by Marc Jacobs purse on sale that day. I still dream of it. So she’s totally right.

4. Perhaps the most important favourite: OSCARS!

Friday Favourites: the February 22nd edition

Unfortunately, timing didn’t permit us to plan the party this year. But while we won’t be dressing up in glitter shoes and heading to the Khyber, we will be online and setting up the live blog + the twitter. We’ll give you all the details over the weekend on Facebook and Twitter. We can drink wine in our leggings and hate on the Kelly Osborne and the mani-cam together. We’ll also have Red Carpet Project to help us figure out if there are more or less beige dresses this year than previous years.

And I believe you still have time to get in on Lauren’s 4th annual Oscar pool. We’ll try to win this one again. If we win, we put cash towards our fourth birthday party.

5. My totally mainstream jam of the week

I’m not even going to pretend it’s hipster adjacent. Maybe it was once, but it took me forever to discover it.
