Fringe For Days

While the summer sun wittles away and the days begin to get shorter (again) I’m still holding onto what ever warm weather I can scrounge up, and I make no plans of retiring my favorite summer shorts any time soon.

These shorts are quite possibly the most inexpensive piece in my wardrobe, but they are also my most favorite.

Upon first glance I wasn’t really sure how I felt about their scooped hemline, but then I realized that this is also what kind of makes them amazing! I have the most difficult time finding shorts blog reader I swear there’s like a magic formula to finding the perfect pair that I’ve yet to fully master. I almost always find them either too short, or too baggy in the legs, but when it works it works, and you don’t question it. 

Truth be told I’ve been living in these denim shorts for the better part of summer, and while I was touring around Toronto I found myself killing time shopping at the Toronto Eaton Centre. Have you ever gone to mall in one outfit and left in another? Well this is what happened to me. I ended up picking up this Wilfred Free Tank from Aritzia (which is the same material as my favorite t-shirt (which I was wearing at the time), and this crochet vest from Le Chateau. I originally bought the crochet piece for Diner en Blanc (more of that later), but I ended up liking it so much over my black tank and shorts that I decided to change my outfit entirely (in the washroom no less).

Hey a girl can change her mind okay! clearly I’m having a moment with fringe as evident by the amount of movement in my outfits lately; the sad news is I’ll have to find some more transitional pieces than this vest because before long :(:(  Did anyone else feel like summer flew by?
