Frk’tastic! Martin Frk Coming to Halifax

A few weeks ago we broke that Frk’s agent was hopefuly he’d be in Halifax come the fall.

His agent has now confirmed highly touted Czech forward Martin Frk is on his way across the pond and should be lining up for the Halifax Mooseheads this fall according to his agent Allen Walsh via twitter,

@Walsha: Czech forward Martin Frk has arrived in Montreal to participate in our Octagon summer training camp and will be heading to Halifax on 8/15.

This is exciting news for the Mooseheads, as they had been hoping the European would fill the void left when Captain Tomas Knotek signed a contract in Europe during the off-season.

Last season, Frk had 28 goals and 56 points last season and should add offensive pop to the Moose lineup this year.

With this addition, the Mooseheads should see some exciting hockey at the Metro Center this season with the likes of Mathew Boudreau, Darcy Ashley, Luca Ciampini looking to crack the team in training camp.
