Join us in Halifax on the front lawn outside the Spring Garden Road Public Library for the first ever BOOK READING FLASH MOB* on Friday July 27th at 12 pm. This family-friendly, all-ages reading flash mob* is a tribute to Maurice Sendak.
Bring or share Sendak’s book “Where the Wild Things Are (M)” and when the signal “Let the Wild Rumpus Start!” goes up, read aloud with library staff. Once the reading is done, the book mob event is over, merge with the crowd as if nothing ever happened or keep reading.
*A flash mob is a group of people summoned to a designated location at a specified time to perform an indicated action before dispersing. – From Merriam-Webster Dictionary.
