Get glowing: Halifax’s annual Glow in the Park event returns

HRM release: The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to attend Glow in the Park on Saturday, October 14. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Sir Sandford Fleming Park (The Dingle, 260 Dingle Road).

Recreation is kicking off the fall season with the return of this annual event. Highlights will include:

  • a 1.5km walk/run route
  • face painting zone
  • campfire zone
  • noodle zone
  • colour powder zone
  • strobe light zone
  • dance floor
  • Youth Worx canteen

The first 250 participants will receive free glow gear. There will be limited parking available, and a shuttle bus will be available to pick-up and drop-off event participants from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Frog Pond parking lot and École John W. MacLeod – Fleming Tower School.
