Get splashin’: HRM outdoor pools, splashpads and beaches open July 1

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the Bedford and Cole Harbour outdoor pools, the Halifax Common splashpad, and all supervised municipal beaches will open for the season on Friday, July 1.

Bookings are required for the Bedford and Cole Harbour outdoor pools, and can be completed on our website. Memberships for the Bedford outdoor pool can be purchased through Lebrun Recreation Centre and for Cole Harbour outdoor pool they can be purchased through the Cole Harbour Recreation Centre.

Resident are advised that, due to construction of the new Halifax Commons Aquatics Facility, the Halifax Common outdoor pool will remain closed for the 2022 season. Beginning Friday, July 1, the municipality is offering free swims at the Needham Community Centre pool to minimize disruptions for residents who regularly use the Halifax Common pool.

The Bayers-Westwood, George Dixon, Isleville Street, Westmount, and Sackville splashpads opened for the season on Friday, June 17.
