HRP release:

Police are warning of a suspicious man who approached a group of youths this afternoon in Halifax.

At approximately 12:45 p.m., four teenage girls were in the 300-block of Herring Cove Road when they were approached by an adult man not known to them. The man complimented the girls on their appearance and offered them gifts and money to get inside his vehicle.

The group declined and left the area. They reported the incident to a trusted adult who then reported the incident to police. Police commend the group for confiding in an adult.

The investigation is ongoing.

The man is described as approximately 30-years old, about 5’8”, slender build, and dark facial hair.

The vehicle is described as a white Lincoln SUV with tinted windows.
