Global Tours kicks off today and is aimed at Jr. High and Highschool students.
Through Global Tours, students get to know students from other schools and visit all the communities that feed into the participating High Schools. The goal is to challenge and reduce the stereotypes often associated with the participating communities. Students from North and East Preston, Cherry Brook, Cole Harbour, Eastern Passage and Lawrencetown Beach are part of the event. Participants took part in activities this morning and will tour the community of Cherry Brook this afternoon where community activist and educator Alma Johnston-Tynes will speak.
