Two people face charges after being caught spray painting graffiti in
downtown Halifax this morning.
At 12:38 a.m., Patrol Officers responded to the area of Albemarle and
Cogswell Streets after receiving a complaint of people spray painting
graffiti at that location. Two people were located and arrested without
incident. A 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old female youth, both of
Halifax, are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court and Halifax
Youth Court respectively at a later date charged with mischief.
Spreading graffiti is a crime, and its presence can impact our
community’s reputation, property values, and citizens’ sense of
pride and safety. If you observe someone spreading graffiti in HRM, call
police immediately at 490-5020.
