Greekfest starts this Thursday at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church on Purcell’s Cove Road. This year there’s an extra day of festivities, food, dancing, prizes, and Greek culture. I’ll be out of town for this event, so please feel free to send your pictures and I’ll post them when I return!

Welcome to our 25th Greek Summer Festival!
It’s hard to imagine that the Greek Community started the Festival back in 1986!

The Halifax Greek Summer Festival is a tireless effort by the many members of our Greek Community.
We hope we have succeeded in extending our Greek Philoxenia – Hospitality and allow all our old and new friends to experience the Greek culture, dance and of course enjoy that amazing Mediterranean taste of Greece in the Maritimes!

We greatly appreciate all who have supported us in the last 24 years and this year at our 25th Anniversary! We would like to thank the hundreds of volunteers and the many sponsors and hard work from everyone to make such an event happen!!!
