Before we move to the farm and start a “real” garden, I wanted to help my boys experience the process of planting seeds, watch them germinate and grow but on a smaller scale. Growing wheatgrass indoors seemed easy enough!
I grabbed a package of potting soil and hard red wheatgrass at the whole foods market (I skipped over the $60 wheatgrass specific planter…um…really, are things like that necessary? Getting back to basics shouldn’t cost that much…) and got to work with two of my best helpers along with a few ceramic bowls and kitchen spoons.
Mismatched jammies at 2pm? Check.
My little boys are beyond excited to see the changes the seeds go through everyday. I’ll let you know how it works out!
